Works that were to have been carried out on the High Road in Letterkenny have been postponed.
Following a meeting between Irish Water and the Letterkenny Chamber it was confirmed that the works will now be carried out in January.
A number of local businesses had expressed grave concern at the short notice that had been given, saying that August is a prime time for business, and disruption in August would be disastrous for their turnover.
