A 25 year old man has been arrested in Derry following a verbal altercation and the smashing of a rear car window.
At around 1:10am this morning, a wheel brace is believed to have been used to smash the rear window of a silver Volkswagen Golf on the Duncreggan Road.
A verbal altercation between a man and a woman is reported to have occurred just before the damage was caused.
Police subsequently arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He remains in custody at this time.
Police are appealing for witnesses, in particular, anyone who captured the incident on their dash cam.
