Only five teams will be contesting this season’s Ulster Senior League.
Monaghan United have withdrawn after just one season under the league.
It’s a blow to the league who were hoping to build on team numbers in recent seasons.
USL Secretary Niall Callaghan has told Highland Radio Sport “the committee are very disappointed that Monaghan have opted to leave the league”.
The five team league will be made up of Champions Cockhill Celtic, Bonagee United, Letterkenny Rovers, Finn Harps and Derry City.
The new season starts this Saturday with Letterkenny and Bonagee meeting in the League Cup.
