Five days paid leave for domestic violence victims welcomed

The manager of Donegal Domestic Violence centre believes the introduction of a paid leave for victims of domestic violence will make a big difference.

The bill will see the introduction of paid leave for victims of domestic violence and once enacted, those who are suffering or at risk of domestic violence will be entitled to five days of paid leave per year.

Dr Marie Hainsworth, Manager Donegal Domestic Violence Centre told the Nine til Noon Show the leave will be useful for be to victims but staff must be trained to deal with the situation…
