Director of Emergency Services says operation in Creeslough was ‘challenging’

Donegal County Council’s Director of Economic Development, Emergency Services and Information Systems says the rescue and recovery operation in Creeslough over the weekend was challenging given the state of the building following the explosion.

The fire service, ambulance service, Gardai and emergency services from Northern Ireland were all deployed to the scene.

Garry Martin says the Council will provide support to the families, the community of Creeslough and those involved with the emergency services who worked tirelessly.

He says the assistance from the local community was astounding:
