The NoWDOC GP Out of Hours Service is experiencing a high volume of calls.
In a statement, the HSE says the service is currently very busy and is asking for patience due to longer wait times.
They say urgent calls will be prioritised.
It comes after Saolta earlier this week said Letterkenny University Hospital was facing significant pressure due to a large number of people presenting at the Emergency Department.
