Eddie McCallion fired Institute ahead in their NIFL Championship clash with Ards but the visitors were level within three minutes and that was the way it stayed until the end.
Elsewhere, Dergview were beaten 3-0 by Harland and Wolff Welders.
Institute are ninth and Dergview are 11th while Annagh top the table.
