The outbound lane of the port bridge road is now clear.
One lane had experienced flooding from the high tide at around 6am this morning but is now passable.
Brian Cannon, Director of Roads and Transport with Donegal County Council says works are presently being undertaken to ensure the high tides tonight and a futher two tomorrow do not have the same impact on the road.
Consultations with the OPW are ongoing.
