Donegal may well have to plan without Ryan McHugh for the championship.
Donegal travel to play Down in their Ulster opener a fortnight on Saturday, but according to the Donegal News, McHugh has been unable to shake off a groin injury which has kept him out of action this year and is unlikely to feature in the championship.
