Calls for standby aircraft to be available as needed at Donegal Airport

The Minister of State for Transport has been urged to ensure a standby aircraft is in place at Donegal Airport.

Minister Jack Chambers says the Department continues to monitor the airline’s performance and engage with it after people were left stranded on many occasions due to the cancellation of flights from the airport.

A standby aircraft was brought into use at the airport for a period earlier this year.

However, Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle says it must be available as needed to ensure a reliable air service:
