The Industrial Court has confirmed that it will hear an application for trade union recognition at Seagate.
The decision marks a major step forward in the ongoing union drive at the Springtown-based manufacturer of semi-conductors which employs 1,600 onsite.
Fears have been raised earlier that job losses and wage cuts are on the horizon for the company.
