Private Seán Rooney has been honoured at a ceremony paying tribute to fallen UN peacekeepers.
The 23-year-old was killed in an attack while on duty in Lebanon last December.
Fergal Mythen – the Irish Ambassador to the UN – accepted a medal on behalf of the Rooney family.
