Status yellow thunderstorm warning in place for Donegal

A status yellow thunderstorm and rain warning has been issued for Donegal and 14 other counties in the western half of the country.

A similar warning is in place in Derry, Tyrone and Fermanagh.

Both warnings remain in place until nine o’clock tonight.

Met Eireann is warning of heavy downpours, thunderstorms and the chance of hail.
