Further delays for new National Children’s Hospital

Half of the operating theatres at the new National Children’s Hospital will have to be rebuilt if they are to be used for life-saving surgery.

The Irish Mail on Sunday reports there are serious problems with the ventilation system and the theatres are ‘not fit for purpose’.

Extra work needed to correct the problem could cost tens of millions of euro.

Sinn Féin TD David Cullinane says the opening of the hospital is facing further delays:
