Gardaí in Donegal took to social media to appeal for motorists to slow down.
They say extra caution will be needed on the roads today with the poor weather forecasted.
The appeal comes after a motorcyclist with a pillion passenger was caught speeding at 159KPH in Newtowncunningham.
