Donegal County Council has sought assistance from the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Enterprise Trade & Employment following the weekend flooding.
The local authority has notified the National Directorate for Fire & Emergency Management of the flash flooding which severely impacted Raphoe, Castlefinn, Convoy & Killygordon in relation to potential assistance being provided for households and businesses affected.
Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Councillor Martin Harley has praised the response of the local community to the flooding.
