Four Donegal childcare settings have been awarded €260,000 under Building Blocks Improvement Scheme.
BASIC Child Care Centre, Claire’s Little Stars Preschool, Crossroads & Killygordon Community Playgroup, and Little Smarties have all been successful in the government initiative to provide a greener, warmer service for children.
The money will be used as part of a national effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% in the next seven years with a view towards moving to a carbon neutral economy by installing solar panels, heat pumps, and insulation.
