Gardaí warn to not buy children personalised schoolbags

Gardaí in Donegal are urging parents to think twice about having their child’s name visible on their school bag as the end of the summer holidays approach.

They warn that a child may presume an adult who calls them by name is not a stranger.

In the social media post it’s noted that many options for personalised belongings are available in including books and pencil cases.

These items wont be seen in public, making them much safer.
