Police have confirmed that the items recovered during a security alert in Derry on Friday are understood to include six improvised explosive devices, ammunition and a machine pistol.
A search of a house was carried out in the Stewarts Terrace area of Rosemount.
As policing operation continued into Friday evening, police came under attack once again with petrol bombs and masonry thrown at them.
