LUH Stroke Team warn people to seek immediate help if symptoms of stroke arise

Ahead of World Stroke Day tomorrow, Letterkenny University Hospital’s Stroke Team is warning people to seek help immediately if symptoms persist.

Each year, approximately 10,000 Irish people have a stroke and around 2,000 die.

Dr Ashfaque Memon, Consultant in Stroke Medicine at Letterkenny University Hospital says the quicker medical assistance is provided the greater the chance of reducing death:
