Donegal GAA has voted to move their underage club games to even ages.
Club delegates voted last night in favour of reverting the grades for youth competitions to Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18.
Donegal has followed suit with the majority of the other counties in Ulster, including Tyrone and Derry.
The change will happen for the 2024 season.
It was also confirmed at last night’s meeting that a selection committee will be set up to appoint a children’s officer.
There are four candidates for the role: Mick McGrath (Aodh Rua), Michael McMenamin (Naomh Padraig Muff), Emlyn Hughes (Four Masters), and Gary Duffy (Buncrana).
Each candidate will make a presentation to the committee, which will be made up of three people from outside the county.
The successful candidate will be named in two weeks.
