Troy Gallagher is to be awarded the Freedom of London.
The Letterkenny native became the first Irish-born mayor of Islington in 2021.
Having first moved to England in 1999, Cllr Gallagher is a Labour Councillor representing the Bunhill District.
The Freedom Ceremony is set to take place tomorrow.
