McConalogue seeks new focus on reducing food waste

There are calls for restaurants to cut down on the amount of food they put on people’s plates.

Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue also says no food outlet should be in a position to offer ‘doggy bags’ to customers.

A recent EPA report shows 23 percent of Ireland’s waste in 2020 came from the food service industry.

According to the Irish Examiner Minister McConalogue wants behavioural change across the board.
