Foreshore licence signed to allow works at Donegal piers proceed

It’s understood foreshore licences to allow works totalling over €7 million be carried out at piers in Donegal has been signed.

The monies allocated for Burtonport, Bunbeg, Glengad and Rathmullan were on hold awaiting the approval of the foreshore licences.

The projects were due to commence before a deadline of November 2023 to ensure funding could be drawn down.

Councillor Micheal Choilm MacGiolla Easbuig is now calling on guarantees to be given by Marine Minister Charlie McConalogue:
