A surge in flu and covid cases has increased pressure on the country’s Emergency Departments.
The HSE is appealing to the public to consider using alternative facilities depending on the illness.
This morning, there were 40 admitted patients awaiting beds at Letterkenny University Hospital, 14 in the Emergency Department.
HSE Chief Clinical Officer Colm Henry says flu cases are expected to peak in the next two weeks………….
