Letterkenny man Declan Jordan meanwhile, has announced he will contest the upcoming elections in the Letterkenny Local Electoral Area.
He will run as an Independent.
He says his love for politics and Letterkenny has been central to his decision to throw his name into the hat.
Mr Jordan says; ‘if I can make looking after Letterkenny a part of life at council level, it would simply be a dream come true’.
