Council urged to adopt initiative to map dog attacks on sheep

Donegal County Council is being urged to adopt an initiative being rolled out in Kerry which maps dog attacks on sheep.

Kerry County Council has agreed to map areas where dog attacks on sheep are reported to the local authority in 2024.

Councillor Patrick McGowan believes such a project would be hugely beneficial in Donegal given the large number of sheep kills and attacks in the county.

He says a multi-agency approach to combat the issue is needed:
