Deputy Pringle says promises for Irish carers have been undelivered

A Donegal Deputy has called out Government on undelivered promises for carers in Ireland.

Deputy Thomas Pringle says despite a commitment in 2020 for a statutory home care scheme, it’s disappointing but not surprising that it hasn’t been made a reality.

In Donegal, 6% of the population are an unpaid carers.

Deputy Pringle says the majority of this unpaid work is falling on women.
