A man has been hospitalised in Co. Down after a reported sword attack.
It happened at a house, in Newcastle, in the early hours of this morning, during which the victim sustained facial injuries and a severe arm injury.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a number of other offences, and remains in custody at this time.
The PSNI is appealing for witnesses or those with information to come forward.
