New figures published by the Irish Independent show that house prices in Donegal grew by more than twice the national average.
The increase in price for a 2-bed apartment in 12 months was €131,000 (20.9%).
The cost to buy a 3-bed semi rose by 199,667 (16.3%).
Meanwhile, the price of a 4-bed semi increased by 242,000 (19%).
Nationally, annual price growth is set to hit 10% by the end of the year.
