Letterkenny councillor disagrees with decision to move static speed cameras from the N14 to N13

A Letterkenny councillor has reacted angrily to news that a plan to install static speed cameras on the N14 Letterkenny to Lifford Road has been abandoned, and it’s been decided to locate the cameras on the N13 Letterkenny to Derry Road instead.

Asking about the cameras, Cllr Donal Coyle was told that following an assessment process that was carried out through the Road Safety Authority, An Garda Siochana and the TII, the decision to switch locations was made.

Members have been promised a more detailed update later, but Cllr Donal Coyle says that’s not good enough.
