There’s calls for Donegal County Council to provide test results from the testing of quarries in Donegal.
100% Redress Party Councillor Denis McGee says the results must be made public to ensure people have confidence that the products they are purchasing are of a recommended standard.
The Council’s Director of Community Development & Planning Services, Liam Ward says quarries are already required to use the CE mark on all products prior to placing them on the market. He says it would be a challenge to make provide the test results.
Councillor McGee says it’s imperative homeowners know what they are buying is fit for purpose.
