Met Eireann has issued a wind advisory for the entire country.
It’s in place until Saturday, with warnings of very strong winds tracking close to Ireland on Thursday and Friday night.
The forecaster says it’s continuously monitoring the situation and weather warnings will be issued as confidence in the forecast improves.
