Anna Gallagher has been selected as the Honorary Mayor of Donegal Town.
She is taking over from outgoing Mayor Pauric Kennedy, by topping the poll with 695 votes.
The counting of votes took place in the St. John Bosco Centre shortly after 7pm yesterday evening.
Anna will now take on the voluntary role for the next two years.
