A playgroup in The Glebe outside Strabane is highlighting the fact that a cap is limiting the number of places they can offer this year.
Little Flower leader Sandra Harper says they’ve been capped at nine places, with thirteen applications for admission from September. She says this means for the second year in a row, they’ll be turning away four families.
She also says funding is so limited that there is no scope for development or growth, and lack of funds throws the sustainability of such playgroups into question.
West Tyrone MLA Nicola Brogan has a nephew who attends the playgroup.
She says this is [part of a wider issue she’s been raising in the Assembly………….
