There were 40 admitted patients awaiting beds at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning, the second highest figure in the country after Limerick, which had 75.
The national total today was 440.
Of the 40 without beds in Letterkenny, 18 were on Emergency Department trolleys.
The Sligo University Hospital figure today was 21, giving a North West total of 61.
