Two people seriously injured after car collided with pedestrians in Down

Two people have been seriously injured after a car collided with a number of pedestrians in County Down.

It happened outside a pub on Main Street in Millisle at about 11 o’clock last night.

It was reported to police the car turned around and drove past the pub again before leaving the scene.

Two people were rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

The car was located a short time later, and one man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a number of driving offences.

The PSNI is appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
