
The European Commission is set to consider a new plan to eradicate period poverty.
It’s being proposed by Midlands North West MEP Maria Walsh, and includes a range of actions to make menstrual products more accessible.
The actions include ensuring a zero VAT rate is in place across all 27 member states and providing free products in public institutions.
