Pre-school children could get an extra hour of free childcare.
It’s reported that a one-hour daily extension for children in the second year of the ECCE scheme could be announced in the next budget.
The Irish Independent reports that the move, which would save parents who rely on ECCE for childcare € 1,900 a year, could be introduced next year.
