Young surfers who rescued three people from water at Tramore beach say instinct kicked in

A group of young surfers who rescued three people who got into difficulty in the water in Portnoo over the weekend say instinct kicked in.

Maitiú, Dualta, and Turlough from Ardara sprang into action when they heard a woman crying for help on the shore as her two children and husband were in difficulty at Tramore Beach.

The men using their body boards managed to bring all three safely to shore.

They told today’s Nine til Noon Show that they knew they had to act quickly:
