Rhys Irwin has extended his lead at the top of the Supersport section of the British Superbike Championship.
The Kilmacrennan native won today’s first race at Oulton Park and now has an 18-point lead at the top of the standings ahead of Ben Currie in 2nd.
He set the fastest lap-time on the way to winning this afternoon’s race.
Irwin will be back on his Gearlink Suzuki bike tomorrow for Race 2 of the weekend’s action.
