
Tánaiste and Defence Minister Simon Harris will address low-paid army cadets at today’s RACO conference in County Meath.
The Commissioned Officers Association is using the two-day event to highlight how wages are a significant barrier to boosting army numbers.
It says cadets get paid €493 a week, meaning many of their representatives are making less than minimum wage.
