A young man in his late teens was hospitalised following an alleged assault in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He was on Lower Main St., Letterkenny, just after 3:05am when he was believed to have been set upon by another man.
He then went to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained, which were not life-threatening in nature.
Gardaí are appealing for information, particularly dashcam footage from the area around that time.
