‘Catherine Connolly will represent Ireland with diplomacy’ – Mac Lochlainn TD

A Donegal TD says Catherine Connolly will represent Ireland with diplomacy during her Presidency.

She secured more than 900,000 votes in the election, beating Fine Gael’s Heather Humphreys and Fianna Fáil’s Jim Gavin, who withdrew from the race earlier this month.

Ms. Connolly will succeed President Michael D. Higgins when she’s inaugurated on the 11th of November.
