ATU Donegal won the third level Division 1 league title beating SETU Waterford 3-2 on Tuesday in Athlone.
The Letterkenny side were 2-0 up by the 23rd minute with goals coming from Jodie Loughrey and Codie Walsh.
Waterford came back to level the tie at 2-2 but it took an Erin Doherty strike from the penalty spot with two minutes remaining to win the game.
ATU’s focus in the new year will turn to the defence of the O’Regan Cup.
