There were 38 admitted patients awaiting beds at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning, six of them on Emergency Department trolleys.
It was the joint second highest figure in the country, along with Cork, Sligo and the Mater in Dublin.
It means in the North West, there were 76 people without beds in hospital this morning.
The highest figure was registered in Limerick. with 108.
