Pressure mounts on Minister to reopen Donegal Town Courthouse

Calls are growing for the Justice Minister to commit to re-opening Donegal Town Courthouse during a visit to the county next week.

It has been closed since September due to health and safety concerns following a partial ceiling collapse, prompting a full OPW survey.

Local Cllr Jimmy Brogan says he will ask Minister Jim O’Callaghan for a commitment that the courthouse will not suffer the same fate as the one in Carndonagh, which was temporarily shut six years ago:
