A Donegal nun has received a papal appointment.
Sister Mary T. Barron, Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles, has been appointed as a consultor to the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue by Pope Leo X.
Sister Barron is currently based in Ghana but is originally from Manorcunningham.
The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue promotes and oversees relations with members and groups of non-Christian religions, with the exception of Judaism.
