A Donegal nun has received a papal appointment.
Sister Mary T Barron is one of 19 newly appointed consultors to the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue by Pope Leo.
Sister Barron, a native of Manorcunningham, is the Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles and has widely travelled with her congregation.
The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue oversees relations with members and groups of non-Christian religions, with the exception of Judaism.
