A board game based on The Troubles is being condemned for being crass and insensitive.
The game allows players to take on the roles of the British Forces, the IRA, loyalist paramilitaries, and other key actors in the Northern Ireland conflict, which occurred between the 1960s and 1998.
Bill Thomas, founder of Compass Games – the company producing the game, told the Guardian it will not be released for several years and is intended as an educational tool.
