
Award-winning journalist and broadcaster Paddy Clancy has passed away aged 82, following a career stretching six decades across print media and radio.
Originally from Sligo Town, Mr. Clancy was lately a resident of Ballyshannon.
He wrote for both the Sun and Mirror and held many roles in radio including News Editor of Century Radio, presenter of RTE’s ‘It says in the Papers’, and presenter of the ‘Ocean Current’ current affairs show on Ocean FM.
Paddy passed away peacefully yesterday at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by family.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
